After the glue had set up, a little work with my cabinet scraper, and the #5 hand plane, and the joints were smooth. After the trim is cut to size, I'll give it a sand, but not yet.

I did the glue up it 3 stages, two boards at a time. Then I took the two glued boards, and glued them together.

Now that the top boards have been jointed, it's time to glue them up. First I cut some biscuit slots to accept #20 biscuits.
